When you are looking for a market for that medium or large account, remember that our Primary Casualty Department is ready to assist you. Our staff has over 65 years of combined casualty underwriting experience. Our approach to risk-taking is based on the merits and risk characteristics of each account you bring to us. A well-run and successful insured will receive our best treatment.
We use I.S.O. forms as a solid foundation and can be creative in developing ways to write our business profitably. From varying levels of deductibles to composite rating to unusual coverages, we strive to prepare terms that meet the needs of your customer, rather than today’s “slot underwriting” approach that we see so often.
On an account-by-account basis, we are willing to consider many different classes of business. Our list of current policies includes a wide-variety of risks. With that said, it should be noted that we refrain from writing typically high-hazard risks including pharmaceuticals, food processing, vitamin and food supplements, petrochemicals, and hazardous waste processors.
We prefer moderate liability exposures. These would include light and moderate hazard products and processes, wholesale distributors and importers, lessor’s risk properties, restaurants, taverns, products and services that support other businesses and selected construction operations. We will consider larger accounts that fall outside of this preferred scope.
In addition to monoline General Liability we offer coverage for Liquor Liability in many states using I.S.O. forms. We have competitive rates for most classes, and this coverage can be “packaged” with the General Liability on most classes.
