Connie Vargas-George VP, Excess Department Manager
Connie Vargas-George joined Golden Bear Insurance Company in 2014 as an Underwriting Specialist in the Excess Department. Connie was promoted to Excess Department Manager in January 2016. Prior to joining Golden Bear, Connie worked as an Underwriting Specialist in primary casualty at Liberty International Underwriters. Connie also worked at Crum & Forster as a Sr. Underwriter and later as the Underwriting Supervisor. Prior to Crum & Forster she was at Interstate Insurance Services, Inc. where she handled surplus lines and was an underwriter for primary casualty, auto and umbrella, as well as professional liability for nursing homes and assisted living facilities. She began her career at Transamerica Insurance Company as a Multi-Line Underwriter Trainee.
Connie Vargas-George earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance from the University of San Francisco.
