Gary Shreve joined Golden Bear Insurance Company in 2019 and is responsible for the operations of the Primary Casualty Department. He has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry and began his career with the Aetna Casualty & Surety Company as a multi-line underwriter.   After a decade at Aetna/Travelers in increasing roles of responsibility in underwriting and management, he transitioned into treaty/program reinsurance with Employers Reinsurance Corporation followed by Gerling Global Re and Berkley Re Direct.  Most recently he worked as a Senior Vice President at a San Francisco-based MGU.   Gary’s insurance and reinsurance career has focused on underwriting, marketing, and production of casualty and property lines of business in both the standard and surplus lines markets.
