Commercial Property Insurance
Golden Bear Insurance Company offers coverage for commercial property to protect our customers from the consequences of losses to their commercial properties caused by Fire or catastrophic events such as Earthquake or Flood.
Fire and Allied Lines coverage is offered using standard forms from the Insurance Service Office (ISO). Golden Bear Insurance Company is a market for non-standard fire accounts. We target risks that have moderate hazard and moderate public fire protection.
Earthquake and Flood coverage is provided for eligible risks either as part of a Difference in Conditions (DIC) policy or as a stand-alone Earthquake policy. In California, DIC coverage is our hallmark product, and we are recognized as a leader in this marketplace. In our Northwest Branch, we focus on stand-alone or monoline Earthquake and DIC policies.
Earthquake and Fire coverage can be provided on either a primary or excess basis. When excess coverage is provided it is available via two options: 1) Following Form Excess – in which the underlying policy sets basic terms and conditions, or 2) Excess – in which the excess policy is fully self-contained and written on standard company forms.
Be Prepared in the Event of an Earthquake
The United States Geological Survey, USGS, website provides up-to-date information on earthquake occurrences in the United States and around the world. It also provides information on what to do before, during, and after an earthquake. Insureds are encouraged to review this website before an event occurs, so they are better educated and better prepared to avoid property loss and personal injury. Golden Bear insureds with earthquake coverage may report a claim as directed under the Claims Services tab on this website. http://www.earthquake.usgs.gov
